My images are often sequential, the result, is a multi-phased image that moves as the viewer moves... Combining Photoshop filters with drawings which began with Crayola, gouache, and oil sticks on paper. The scans are rearranged through cut-away and layering techniques similar to the Japanese paper-cut-art called Kirie (Kiri-e = cut-pictures). Even as they are laboriously handcrafted, the image's somewhat resemble complete photo-emulsions that transform into intriguing new forms that cause the eyes to dance.
With an energetic and almost spiritual dynamism, the work reverberates with a sense of buoyant, creative passion, and vivid intensity.
