Artist Bio & Video Journey

DRAWING & PAINTING | SCULPTURE & MIXED-MEDIA | DIGITAL PRINT MEDIA

Ink, Oil, Acrylic, Charcoal, Graphite, Oil Pastel, Woodcut Block Prints, 3D-Assemblage, and Origami...

I create puzzles of a sort to illustrate a concept... In doing so, I can expand the inter-contentedness of all things. Portraits, landscapes, impressionistic abstracts, after a long absence I began exploring Crayola, from there other media... The journey continues...

Lenticular, Archival Ink on Acrylic or Canvas, Etched and Engraved Surfaces... Jacquard tapestry

My images are often sequential, the result, is a multi-phased  image that moves as the viewer moves... Combining Photoshop filters with drawings which began with Crayola, gouache, and oil sticks on paper. The scans are rearranged through cut-away and layering techniques similar to the Japanese paper-cut-art called Kirie (Kiri-e = cut-pictures). Even as they are laboriously handcrafted, the image's somewhat resemble complete photo-emulsions that transform into intriguing new forms that cause the eyes to dance.
